ジョウビタキ | Daurian Redstart
ジョウビタキ（常鶲）はスズメ目ツグミ科に属する小型の鳥類で冬になるとユーラシア大陸北方から日本へ越冬の為に渡ってくる。雄と雌で羽色が大きく異なり、雄はシルバーグレーとオレンジのコントラストが美しく、雌は全体的に落ち着いたオリーブ色、尾羽にほのかなオレンジ色が魅力的である。全長は約14 cm。
越冬期には灌木の頂や低い場所に止まり、「ヒッ，ヒッ，ヒッ」と澄んだ声で鳴き、時折「カッ，カッ，カッ」と低い声を出すこともある。農耕地、草原、雑木林、都市公園の開けた環境で眼にすることができる。

The Daurian Redstart (Phoenicurus auroreus) is a small passerine bird of the family Muscicapidae. Males and females differ strikingly in plumage: males display a beautiful contrast of silver-gray and bright orange, while females have a more subdued olive coloration. The species measures approximately 14 cm in length.
During the winter, it often perches on the tops of shrubs or other low vegetation, singing a clear “Hitt, Hitt, Hitt” and occasionally producing a lower-pitched “Kah, Kah, Kah.” In its wintering grounds, it inhabits open environments below 900 meters in elevation, including shrublands, agricultural fields, grasslands, mixed woodlands, red pine forests, and areas around human settlements.
